Don't Ignore Negative Thoughts
We all have them.
Those negative thoughts that whisper (or scream) at us when we think about our creative dreams.
Thoughts that warn us against doing the thing we want to do because we might fail.
Thoughts that have us worry we’ll make a fool of ourselves.
Thoughts that fill us with dread that quickly spirals into the land of the worst case scenarios.
We want to turn those thoughts off.
Ignore them.
Tell them to shut the hell up already!
Which makes sense because they don’t feel good.
Your thoughts have the power to make you feel a surprisingly wide range of emotions from mildly uncomfortable to completely paralyzed with fear.
One of the most helpful, empowering (and counter-intuitive!) things I’ve learned to do over the past several years from my coaches is to NOT ignore my negative thoughts.
Instead…I shine a light on them and look at them head on.
This is actually the first step to taking back your creative power.
To stop letting your fear-based thoughts run the show!
Trying to ignore negative thoughts is a fool’s game that comes back to bite you in the you know what.
Looking at them head on, working with them - and through them - will fuel your clarity, confidence, commitment, and creativity in truly life-changing ways!
You have a variety of options for how we can work together to learn easy-to-use but highly effective ways to do just this.
Here’s to taking your power back and creating your next creative chapter with clear, empowered determination!
