Why Creative Oasis Classes Could Be Right For You
Someone recently asked me, “What’s the difference between your Creative Oasis classes and retreats?”It’s a great question, so I decided to create a couple of short videos and blog posts to help you better understand the differences and decide which one would be the best fit for you.Today I’m going to share more about the classes I have coming up in my own creative studio and at the Creative Arts Center of Dallas. You can watch the video above or read on. (You can also see the video I shared last week about my Creative Oasis Retreats here.)Whereas my retreats provide a relaxing day filled with creative exploration and play, delicious food and drink and other unique experiences ~ kind of a “one-day-creative-get-away” as one woman put it ~ my classes offer six weeks of gentle accountability, structure, inspiration and motivation to focus in on your personal creative projects, passions and pursuits.I help you find clarity around what you want to experience creatively and then I help you come up with delightfully, doable ways to make that happen ~ now ~ rather than waiting for the perfect time in the future.
- Waiting for when your kids are out of school
- Waiting for when you retire or get that new job
- Waiting to finalize your divorce
- Waiting to lose those last ten pounds
- Waiting to get your home perfectly de-cluttered and organized
- Waiting for whatever excuse you’re currently using to stop yourself from living the creative life you crave right now.
No judgment if this is you! Believe me ~ there was a time in my life that I used some of those same excuses myself and I’ve worked with hundreds of women over the last ten years who have as well! You are not alone! If you’re ready to stop waiting and to make a change sooner than later there are two more opportunities for you to join me for in-person classes here in Dallas this fall. The first is my Living A Creative Life class that I teach right here in my colorful creative studio.I’d like to share a very important note of distinction right now ~ You do not have to be an artist to take my classes and workshops! Living a wonderfully creative life is not limited to those who can paint and draw. This class is for you if you crave more creative joy in your life via have ANY creative outlet ~ gardening, cooking, travel, entertaining, making music, going to see live music, visiting museums, pinching clay, writing letters, creating handmade cards ~ any experience that energizes and delights you!You have the opportunity to view your entire life as a your creative canvas and I’m here to help you do just that!During our time together you’ll learn and practice tools and techniques to strengthen your creative habits, build your confidence and embrace creativity in all aspects of your life! This class is limited to 5 participants so you’ll enjoy a very personalized experience.*NOTE ~ There are currently only 3 seats remaining for this class and registration closes soon, so if you want to join us please be sure to register to save your spot here.WHEN: Wednesdays, October 24 through December 5, 2018 ~ 11 am to 12:30 pm (no class the week of Thanksgiving) *Special note ~ Our November 7th class will meet from 2 to 3:30pm.The other option for you is the class I’m teaching at the Creative Arts Center of Dallas where we dive deep into “Big Magic ~ Creative Living Beyond Fear” ~ the New York Times Bestseller by Elizabeth Gilbert. Each week we read another chapter and you’ll use prompts and exercises I’ve designed to help you apply the Big Magic philosophy directly to your own creative endeavors. You’ll also enjoy personalized creative coaching from me, learn and practice new ways to follow your creative curiosity and pinpoint small steps to keep you moving forward on your unique creative journey. You’ll also set intentions, share struggles, and celebrate wins with your group each week.WHEN: October 31, 2018 ~ December 12, 2018 ~ Wednesday evenings ~ 7 to 9m (we won’t meet the week of Thanksgiving)WHERE: Creative Arts Center of Dallas ~ 2360 Laughlin Dr. Dallas, Texas 75228Register online through the CAC website at www.creativeartscenter.org or call 214-320-1275.I also want to share this option ~ if you have a group of 3 to 5 women and would like to form your own private group for either of these classes we can make that happen! Just drop me a line here and we’ll set up a time to chat about scheduling your own private Creative Oasis class. And finally, if you’re really ready to make some big changes and feel like you want to see bigger, faster transformation in your creative life, then 1-1 coaching might be the best option for you.
