What If You Let Your Heart Lead The Way?
By the time you see this, my adventure in Japan will be almost over. (Hard to believe!)My best friend, Gwen, and I have said for years (make that decades) that someday we’d celebrate our 50th birthdays with a big trip.We followed our hearts, saved and planned. I’m sure that by now we’ve created hundreds of special memories traveling from Tokyo to Kyoto and back again. While it makes perfect sense that intercontinental trips don’t happen without taking a good look into your heart to see if that’s what you really want to do…holidays are another matter. We may know logically that Christmas comes the same time each and every year, but how often do we take a minute to ask how ourselves how we’d like our holidays to look and feel? What if you let your heart (rather than habit) lead the way?Hopefully the Christmas Wish List I shared last week helped you to start doing just that. (If you missed it you can still grab yours here.)A fun next step is to tap into your favorite holiday memories. By reconnecting with them you open yourself up to finding ways to sprinkle them (or their essence) into your plans for this year.Hence the printable goody I’m sharing today ~ The Gifts of Christmas Past. I invite you to download yours now and for the next two or three minutes enjoy a pleasant trip down memory lane.(If you don’t already receive my Mid-Week Oasis Moments be sure to sign up here so I can send you the next simple gifts in this series.)Most of us get swept up and away by the season before we know what hit us. One minute we’re passing out Halloween candy and next we’re finishing up Thanksgiving leftovers and running headlong into the stress of all of the holiday have-to-dos on our lists. It’s a pattern we fall into year after year. That’s what my Create the Christmas of Your Dreams program is all about…giving people permission to stop barreling through the holidays and start enjoying more peaceful moments of seasonal bliss. On November 23rd I’ll open up the group program again for 2015. Together we’ll create a December where all is calm…all is bright and chaos and stress is but a ghost of Christmas past.Until next time, all the best from my heartfelt Creative Oasis to yoursJill
