Will You Choose To Wait or Create?

Back in March, my client, Vonda K., made a choice.

When shelter in place began, she decided not to throw up her hands, curl into the fetal position, pull the cover over her head and wait it out.

Vonda chose to think outside the box, look for ways to serve her current and future clients right away and to get coached by me so she could create and execute her fabulous ideas from a place of confidence and service rather than fear and doubt.

As a personal brand photographer she might well have succumbed to thoughts like…

“What the hell am I supposed to do now?”

“I have no control over this!”

“My business is doomed!”

Instead, we worked together to uncover thoughts that would serve her and her business such as…

“I know what I’m doing.”

“I don’t have to wait. I can help now.”

“This is going to be fun!”

Fast forward to today and Vonda has spent the last three months making connections, building relationships, serving her clients and boosting her income.

And she says it’s been way easier and more fun than she ever could have imagined!

• She created a popular series of videos to help people like the way they look on ZOOM calls. (Search the hashtag #VondaKTips to find them.)

• She offered Porch Portrait sessions and has to date sold and shot 46 of them and counting. (The photo above is one my favorite from our session.)

• She presented an online “Like The Way You Look On Camera” workshop for over 400 people in the international Creative Mornings community.

• She now offers 1-1 ZOOM makeover sessions that help people set up their virtual office spaces and lighting to look the best possible while on camera and has booked a half-dozen and counting.

• She created and shared an innovative, virtual exhibit of her photography students work from Booker T. Washington which led to an offer to teach at a local art studio.

• She’s growing her mailing list and created a 3-Step Social Media Planner to help people make the best use of their personal brand photographs.

• She’s receiving new offers from people and companies who have seen her recent work and want to work with her in a myriad of ways including distanced corporate headshots, teaching group classes for CEO recruiters and several other fun, unexpected professional opportunities.

Vonda’s decision and commitment to follow-through on her creative ideas means that while others chose to wait, spin in mind drama or give up completely, Vonda shows up day after day, week after week to make her creative dreams come true. I am, of course, delighted that she attributes much of her recent successes to the 1-1 work we do together each week on our coaching calls.

The fact that SHE made the decision to commit to her creative dreams, to get coached, to do the mindset work and to keep moving forward even when there are bumps along the way (or, you know, a global pandemic) makes all the difference!

I love helping multi-passionate creatives like Vonda K. to…

• Make empowered decisions

• Move past their blocks

• Take consistent inspired action

• Bring their personal and business creative ideas to fruition from a place of confidence and joy!

If you’ve decided to stop waiting and are ready to commit to your creative success, I invite you to book a Creative Oasis Clarity Call with me today.

Shared with so much love, light and belief in you and your creative dreams!
