Creativity Outside My Comfort Zone
Bree Clarke, founder of The Iman Project has continued her “On The Table” workshop series virtually after Covid paused her live events here in Dallas and I am grateful I had the chance to join in!
From her website (theimanproject.com):
“On the Table” Workshops with a Purpose. A space where every female is welcomed no matter your background, age, skin color, religion or walk of life. A space to create something magical - standing next to someone who doesn’t look like you. A space where you can create woven wall hangings, floral arrangements, learn the art of calligraphy, abstract painting, sketching, candle making and so much more.
I love the intention behind her workshops and had a blast gathering and conversing with kindred creative spirits!
Hosted by Bree and taught by Megan Owner of Jubilee Flower Company, this creative experience was a fun way to step out of my comfort zone and try something new.
Megan shared so many fun tricks and tips about how to work with flowers! I told her I only wish that I’d had an extra hand to take notes while also playing with my arrangement.
Did you know you can fluff out a carnation and open up a rose using your hands to give the flowers a totally different look?
And great news ~ now you don’t have to live in Dallas to claim your seat at Bree’s table. She’s making workshop supply delivery available throughout the USA.
So if you’re looking for fun, meaningful creative experiences, check out these talented women and their offerings by visiting her website: https://www.theimanproject.com.
Although I enjoyed the ZOOM experience so much, I do look forward to the day I can sit at a real table in person with a group of women I’ve never met before and share creativity, laughter and meaningful conversations.
Until next time, all the best from my Creative Oasis to yours,
Jill
